Très honnêtement, ça fait du bien de prendre un peu de repos... Cela dit, rester près de deux semaines sans poster une note, j'en ai presque éprouvé du remords !

Bon, l'important c'est de reprendre la plume en pleine forme et motivé. Aujourd'hui, j'ai envie de te parler d'un sujet qui me tient à coeur, le MENTORING.

La société moderne idolâtre tout ce qui touche à la jeunesse, et vénère la nouveauté. A tel point que tout raccourcit. Nombreuses sont les entreprises qui recrutent de jeunes (et peu coûteux) talents, croyant fermement que cette stratégie représentera dans ce contexte de renouvellement accéléré, un avantage compétitif sur le marché. Peut-être, ou peut-être pas...

Il est clair que les nouvelles générations se forment aux technologies les plus sophistiquées, et que leurs compétences en la matière dépassent souvent celles de leur ainés. Dans mon univers, celui de l'industrie du sport, les techniques de CAO ont révolutionné l'approche du développement des équipements. Mais une chose n'a pas été forcément toujours prise en compte, l'importance fondamendale de l'expérience. Pour les jeunes, l'expérience est un fabuleux et magnifique sésame qui raccourcit et accélére le cycle d'apprentissage. C'est ici que la synergie inter-générationnelle opère.

Militons pour que nos entreprises fassent du mentoring un impératif stratégique et offrent la possibilité à toute une génération de baby-boomers, nés dans les années 50 et début des années 60 d'apporter leur contribution en explorant pour eux de nouvelles voies de travail, en leur offrant de nouvelles responsabilités et de nouvelles opportunités.

Nos organisations font face aujourd'hui (et le phénomène s'accentuera encore dans les prochaines années) à un turn-over de plus en plus rapide de leur collaborateurs. Une des raisons est probablement liée au déficit d'accompagnement, par manque de temps ou parfois de compétences, de la part de leurs managers. Pression, pression, pression... Une situation qui se traduit dans la plupart des cas par de la frustration, par la peur de l'échec, un manque de confiance en soi, et le corollaire de tout ceci, l'envie de changer de job, ou d'entreprise. Une sorte de fuite en avant.

N'est-il pas temps de redonner un peu plus de sens à nos vies professionnelles, et qui mieux qu'un mentor peut servir de guide ?
